  1. I can comment! Yay! Your timeline seems a little fast. How are you going to follow up? Are you going to compare summer school kids to those who don't attend summer school?

  2. I like the way you have set up your action research plan. If you are able to ensure the success of all students taking the "STAAR" test, your research will be well worth the effort. I see no need for revision. Good Luck!

  3. Your plan seems very organized and straight-forward. It appears you already know what the outcome will be, implementing tutoring for students that did not meet satisfactory on EOCs. I think part of the action research should be investigating new ways to help these students to pass. We provide pull-out tutoring(from an elective class) at my school prior to the retest in December. Our biggest hurdle is getting the students to come in during the summer for retesting and taking it seriously.

  4. What type of remediation program will you be utilizing? Is this enough time for you to get enough data?

  5. To my understanding a student could pass EOC and still not graduate. Should there be a change in testing and remediation of EOC and state tests that are required to graduate. Also does your school offer Top Lab where students are self paced and do you have have enough teachers to actually tutor and be assigned to students who have to retake the EOC. My last question is can the student test out of EOC and not have to take the entire class again. Student may have failed by one point and definitely knows the material.
